CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH

This course is designed to help students develop their speaking and listening skills, with a focus on building confidence in everyday English conversations. Through interactive group discussions, role-plays, and real-life scenarios, students will learn to communicate fluently and naturally. The course covers important aspects like vocabulary building, pronunciation refinement, and grammar usage, while also helping students understand cultural nuances in conversations.

Each week, learners will participate in engaging activities such as storytelling, monologues, and role-playing interviews, allowing them to practice speaking in various contexts. With a focus on practical language skills, students will enhance their fluency, listening comprehension, and overall ability to converse effectively in English. This course is ideal for those looking to improve their spoken English for both personal and professional use.

HERE IS THE DETAILED COURSE OUTLINE

  1. November 3rd, 2024

    Session 01: Describe Yourself

    Participants will introduce themselves, focusing on personal details, interests, and experiences. The week also includes an overview of parts of speech and reading comprehension exercises to enhance understanding and usage of the English language.

  2. November 10th, 2024

    Session 02: Describe Your Next

    This week features a listening activity designed to practice comprehension skills. Participants will listen to various contexts and then describe their upcoming plans or activities, reinforcing vocabulary and conversational flow.

  3. November 17th, 2024

    Session 03: Speaking Role Play

    Students will engage in role-playing exercises, where they will practice speaking in different scenarios. A monologue assignment will allow participants to express their thoughts on a chosen topic, enhancing confidence and speaking skills.

  4. November 24th, 2024

    Session 04: Tongue Twisters

    The focus will be on pronunciation through fun tongue twisters to improve clarity and fluency. Travel vocabulary will also be introduced to prepare students for discussing travel-related topics confidently.

  5. December 1st, 2024

    Session 05: Speaking Techniques

    This week will cover effective speaking techniques, including how to articulate ideas clearly and engagingly. Emphasis will be placed on word stress to improve natural rhythm and flow in speech.

  6. December 8th, 2024

    Session 06: Listening Techniques (IELTS)

    Participants will learn essential listening techniques, particularly for the IELTS exam. A listening test will be administered to assess comprehension skills and provide practice in a test-like environment.

  7. December 15th, 2024

    Session 07: Monologue (Environment)

    Students will prepare and deliver a monologue on environmental topics, encouraging them to articulate their views on significant issues. The week will also include an interview role-play to practice conversational skills in a professional context.

  8. December 22nd, 2024

    Session 08: Travel and Technology Vocabulary

    This week focuses on expanding vocabulary related to travel and technology. Students will engage in speaking exercises to incorporate these terms into their conversations, enhancing their ability to discuss various subjects.

  9. December 29th, 2024

    Session 09: Storytelling

    Participants will learn the art of storytelling, emphasizing narrative structure and engaging delivery. This practice will enhance their ability to share experiences and tales effectively in English.

  10. January 5th, 2025

    Session 10: Picture Description

    Students will practice describing images in detail, focusing on observation and expression skills. This exercise will help improve vocabulary and descriptive language use in conversation.

  11. January 12th, 2025

    Session 11: Descriptive Talk

    In the final week, participants will engage in descriptive talks about various topics, utilizing the vocabulary and skills acquired throughout the course. This session aims to boost confidence and fluency in spontaneous conversation.
